A study of reversible [gamma]-induced structural transformations in vitreous Ge23.5Sb11.8S64.7 by high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
An investigation on the structural origin of reversible [gamma]-induced effects in vitreous Ge23.5Sb11.8S64.7 is conducted by high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The changes in valence band spectrum from [gamma]-irradiation point to a decrease of sulfur lone pair electron concentration accompanied by changes in bonding states of S and Ge.

Synthesis and characterization of Eu-Metallofullerenes from Eu@C74 to Eu@C90and their nanopeapods
Article Abstract:
A series of Eu-metallofullerenes from Eu@C74 to Eu@C90 have been successfully synthesized and isolated by multistep HPLC separation. The result indicates that the entrapped Eu atoms have a divalent charge state in the intact Eu@C82 metallofullerene.
